Operation-365, Inc. (hereinafter, "Operation-365") respects Your privacy, and the privacy rights of users on the Operation-365 website (“Website”) and Operation-365 and it’s developed mobile device applications (the "Applications"). This Privacy Notice is intended to explain Operation-365’s information collection and use practices and the protection of Your information when You visit and use the Website and/or Applications. This Privacy Notice is only applicable to the Website and Applications and does not apply to any websites or applications that are owned or operated by third parties ("Third-Party Websites/Applications"). Please refer to the section concerning Third-Party Websites/Applications below.


(a)  Traffic Data. Operation-365 automatically gathers information of the kind that browsers make available including: (i) IP addresses; (ii) domain servers; (iii) types of computers accessing the Website and/or Applications; and (iv) the types of Web browsers accessing the Website and/or Applications (collectively "Traffic Data"). Traffic Data is anonymous information that does not personally identify You.

(b)  Cookies. A "Cookie" is a string of information that a website stores on a user’s computer, and that the user's browser provides to the website each time the user submits a query to the website. Operation-365 uses Cookies to personalize and enhance Your experience, to identify the user as a unique user of the Website and to store Your password so You do not have to re-enter it each time You visit the Website. Cookies also let us know how you found us (e.g., through a particular website or advertisement). Cookies are not used to access information entered on the secure server. This information can be accessed only when you enter your name and password. If you choose to configure your browser to remove or reject our cookies, you might not be able to make purchases from our Web stores or take advantage of many of our features. In addition, Operation-365 may use Cookies, and other methods, to store and retrieve data from Your web browser. (c)  Web Beacons. "Web Beacons" (also known as clear gifs, pixel tags or web bugs) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to Cookies, and are used to track the online movements of web users or to access Cookies. Unlike Cookies which are stored on the user’s computer hard drive, Web Beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages (or in e-mail). Web Beacons may be used to deliver or communicate with Cookies, to count users who have visited certain pages and to understand usage patterns. (d)  Mobile Device Data. When users download, install and use the Applications on their mobile phone or other wireless telecommunications device, Operation-365 automatically gathers information, including without limitation, carrier providers, a unique device identifier, geo-location information (if allowed by the user), the types of mobile devices accessing the Application, and the types of operating systems accessing the Applications (collectively, "Mobile Device Data"). A unique device identifier is a string of alphanumeric characters (similar to a serial number) used to uniquely identify and distinguish each mobile phone or other wireless communications device. Location services can be enabled or disabled at any time through the mobile device settings. Operation-365 uses Mobile Device Data to understand usage patterns and to improve the Applications. (e)  Ad Serving and Usage Analytics. Operation-365 may use third-parties for outreach and usage analytics for the Website and/or Applications. These third-parties may place Cookies on Your computer, use Web Beacons, gather Traffic Data, Mobile Device Data or Personal Information (as defined below), and log data to collect traffic and activity data in order to deliver relevant metrics, content, and outreach. We do not share your non-public Personal Information with these parties, but we may share anonymized or aggregated information with them to improve the relevancy of the outreach, promotions and media you see on Operation-365. The collection of this information by third-parties is subject to such third-parties’ privacy notices and policies.

(f)   Personal Information. You will be asked to provide Operation-365 certain information related to You ("Personal Information"). Personal Information includes, without limitation: (1) "Contact Data" (personally identifiable information about You, such as Your name and email address, and (2) "Demographic Data" (personal information about You (but doesn’t specifically identify You), such as Your gender, age, zip code and country. The Personal Information you provide is used for such purposes as allowing you to set up a user account and profile, providing the Website and/or Applications and related services, monitoring and improving the content and usage of the Website and/or Applications, interacting with the Website and/or Applications and to connect with other Operation-365 community members (when instructed by You), customizing Operation-365 outreach, media and content, communicating with you about new features, news and Operation-365 progress, and any other identified purpose for which the information was collected. We may also draw upon this Personal Information in order to adapt the Website and/or Applications to your needs, to research the effectiveness of our Website and/or Applications, and to develop new tools for our members. You are under no obligation to provide Personal Information, however, not providing this information may prevent You from using certain features or community engagements.

(g)  Information You Make Available. Certain portions of Your information on the Website and Applications can be made available by Your consent to members, family, friends or contacts. In addition, the Website contains features that permit You to upload, post, transmit, display, perform or distribute content, information or other data, including Your Personal Information. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose Your Personal Information by means of such features, and You agree to assume all responsibility for doing so.

(a)  Traffic Data and Information Gathered Using Cookies, Web Beacons & Mobile Device Data. Operation-365 analyzes Traffic Data and information gathered using Cookies, Web Beacons and Mobile Device Data to help Operation-365 better understand who is using the Website and/or Applications and how they are using the Website and/or Applications. By identifying patterns and trends in usage, Operation-365 is able to better design the Website and Applications to improve Your experience. From time to time, Operation-365 may release Traffic Data and information gathered using Cookies, Web Beacons and Mobile Device Data in the aggregate, such as by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the Website. In addition, Operation-365 may share Traffic Data and Mobile Device Data and information gathered using Cookies and Web Beacons with: (1) third-party analytics companies so that such third-parties may help Operation-365 better understand who is using the Website and/or Applications and how they are using the Website and/or Applications; (2) Other non-profits who are aligned with Operation-365 in specific humanitarian, community, civic or civil service ourtreach, so that such third-parties may provide greater reach to specific humanitarian, community, civic or civil service outreach; and (3) service providers so that we can personalize, provide and improve our Services to Your use and interests.

(b)  Personal Information and Disclosures

(1)  Contact Data. Operation-365 uses Your Contact Data to send You information with respect to Operation-365 news, progress, outreach, fundraising and programs.

(2)  Demographic Data. Operation-365 uses Your Demographic Data to customize and tailor Your experience on the Website and/or Applications. As with Traffic Data and Mobile Device Data and information gathered using Cookies and Web Beacons, from time to time Operation-365 may release or share Demographic Data with third parties in anonymous form and/or in the aggregate, for industry analysis, research, demographic profiling and other similar purposes. In addition, Operation-365 shares anonymized Demographic Data with its marketing partners and community so that such third-parties and community may experience the growth of our advocacy, outreach and effect.

(3)  Disclosures. Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Notice, disclosures to Operation-365 service providers, or when You otherwise give permission, Operation-365 will not share Your Personal Information with third parties, unless doing so is necessary to: (1) to enforce this Privacy Policy, to comply with law, regulation or other legal processes or to protect the rights, property or safety of us or others, (2) to comply a valid order or process from a government regulator or law enforcement agency, (3) in emergency situations, (4) to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the Services, (5) to detect or prevent criminal activity or fraud, or (6) in the event that Operation-365 or substantially all of Operation-365’s assets are acquired by one or more third parties as a result of an acquisition, merger, sale, reorganization, consolidation or liquidation.

(4)  Retention.  Operation-365 will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

You may receive periodic email communications from Operation-365 regarding humanitarian aid, community service, civic and civil advocacy and outreach projects. You may also receive periodic Operation-365 fundraising drives, newsletters, email updates and media announcements. You can opt-out of receiving these promotional messages at any time by (a) following the unsubscribe instructions contained in each message.

Operation-365 is designed and updated on a routine basis to provide reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect personal information against unauthorized or unlawful access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.  Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  If you have reason to believe that your interaction with Operation-365 is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of Your account has been compromised), please immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us in accordance with the “Contact Us” section immediately below.

If You would like Operation-365 to delete Your Personal Information from its system, or you would like to opt out of any specified marketing herein, please contact us at unite@operation-365.org with a request that we delete Your Personal Information from the database. Operation-365 will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor Your request in a reasonable period of time and, for your protection, we will only implement requests with respect to personal information about you (not anyone else), and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request.  Operation-365 may retain an archived copy of Your records as required by law. Operation-365 wants Your Personal Information to be complete and accurate. By using the Website and/or Applications, You represent and warrant that all information You provide on any survey,  form, photograph or otherwise in connection with Your use of the Website and/or Applications and Outreach will be complete and accurate.

The Website and Applications may from time to time contain links to Third-Party Websites/Applications. Operation-365 does not own or control these Third-Party Websites/Applications. Operation-365 is not responsible for the privacy and security practices and policies of those Third-Party Websites/Applications and this Privacy Notice does not apply to any Third-Party Websites/Applications except with respect to Personal Information provided directly to them by Operation-365. Before visiting or providing Personal Information to a Third-Party Website, You should inform Yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of that Third-Party Website, and should take those steps necessary to, in Your discretion, protect Your privacy.

Operation-365 reserves the right to, update, change or modify this Privacy Notice at any time. Any material changes to this Notice will be posted on the Website and/or Applications (and You will be notified by email or other reasonable notification), and will indicate when such changes will become effective. You will be deemed to have agreed to any such modification or amendment by Your decision to continue using the Website and/or Application following the date in which the modified or amended Privacy Notice is posted on the Website. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Notice in effect at the time such information is used.

Operation-365 does not solicit or knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 18. If Operation-365 obtains actual knowledge that it has collected personally identifiable information from a child under the age of 18, Operation-365 will promptly delete such information from its database.

If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide Your information to Operation-365, Your information may be transferred to the United States and processed there (or any other country in which Operation-365 operates). By providing Your information and using the Website and/or Applications, You agree and consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage and disclosure of Your information as described in this Privacy Notice.  Because of the recent changes to Safe Harbor, and the implementation of the EU US Privacy Shield, please notify Operation-365 at the “Contact Us” section if you are an EU citizen residing in the EU and Operation-365 will consider whether you may participate via other data transfer options (e.g. model contract clauses).
